Privacy Policy
Overview
We are Crispy Crunchy Computerware LLC (hereafter “we”, “us”), makers of the app Radiccio.
Our business model is simple: You pay us, and we provide a product to you. We do not monetize your data.
-
Radiccio does not send any data to us.
-
We don’t have or want any of your personal data.
-
We don’t know what music you have or listen to.
-
We don’t know how you’re using our app, or which features are popular or unpopular. (Unless you tell us! Please email us your feedback: feedback@radiccio.music)
External services
-
Radiccio optionally provides access to some external services, such as (but not limited to) Apple Music, Plex, etc. When you choose to use an external service, Radiccio communicates with servers operated or controlled by the corresponding other company, as a necessary part of providing that service to you. The other company may collect data in this situation; for further details, please see their applicable privacy policies. We do not collect this data and we never see it.
-
This does not happen unless you choose to use to specific external services. You can avoid this by choosing not to use external services.
-
If you have already started using an external service, you may stop using it at any time by removing the source(s) from Radiccio, after which point Radiccio will no longer communicate with that service.
Informational alerts
- When launched, Radiccio checks with our server to see if there are any important alerts. An example of this would be a critical bug or other issue that would prevent you from using the app normally, which we need to communicate to you. We anticipate that we will use this system rarely, hopefully never. It will not be used for marketing, tips, or any such content. Only the app version number is sent to the server, and no data from this transaction is retained by us.
Data stored on your device
-
Radiccio creates data on your devices, as part of its normal operations. For example, when you change a setting, Radiccio keeps a record of the setting in a file on your device. Another example: When you enable Librarian for an “On My Mac” source, Radiccio creates a Librarian data file on your device. With Librarian, you may also choose to enable activity logging, which records your listening activity (such as play counts, date last played, etc.) in that same data file on your device.
-
Radiccio does not send this data to us, or to anyone else.
-
It is your responsibility to make sure your device is secure. If someone else is able to access your device, whether it be another person doing shady things or another company doing shady things, in either case, those entities may be able to access any data on that device, possibly including data that Radiccio created for you. We can’t prevent this, so please take appropriate steps to make sure your devices are secure, including any external or network-accessible data storage devices or cloud services that you may be using.
Data that Apple provides to us
-
Radiccio is available through the Mac App Store, which is operated by Apple Inc. (“Apple”)
-
Your use of the Mac App Store and the Mac is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
-
Apple provides general statistics about how many people have downloaded our app, and subscription and sales transactions. This data does not identify individuals. We do not know the identities of the people who download, use, subscribe to, or purchase our app.
-
When Radiccio encounters certain types of errors (a “crash”), Apple may collect information about the error and send it to us. We use this information solely to attempt to fix the problem so that our customers will not experience the same error in the future. It is possible that this data may contain incidentally identifying information. If you do not wish for this information to be sent to us, you can opt out via the setting named “Analytics & Improvements – Share with app developers” on your Apple device. See this Apple support page.
