Radiccio 1.2.2: fixes and automation

Monday, February 9, 2026
Categories: Release Notes

Another round of fixes, and a few additions.

Changes

  • Added a setting: App Settings > Librarian > Show toolbar icon when scanning (on by default)
    • This lets you know when a Librarian scan is in progress, which can be helpful in times when you are waiting for a scan to complete.
    • If you don’t feel it’s necessary to know about this this, feel free to turn it off. What may be an insight to some could be a distraction to others. As ever, product design is a delicate balance!
    • If you don’t use Librarian, you won’t ever see this.
  • Added a setting: App Settings > Integrations > Allow other apps to access activity data (off by default)
    • If enabled, Radiccio can provide data to other apps on your Mac when you start or finish listening to each song. The other Mac app needs to be specifically made to work with this.
    • We are providing technical documentation and sample code to assist other developers who may wish to make use of this.
    • This is one of Radiccio’s guiding principles: Your data is yours, which means you should be able to do useful things with it, even outside of Radiccio. Radiccio should be the opposite of lock-in. Giving you the ability to share it with other apps is one way to further this goal. Your data won’t be shared unless you choose to do so.
  • Designed a custom “About” window for the app

Fixes

  • Attempted to fix issue where some Apple Music Catalog playlists could not be played
    • This API continues to be unreliable. We will continue to do the best we can to fix it when it breaks. Please continue to report any issues to us.
  • Fixed some more minor visual issues
